Oeko-Tex substance testing includes:

  • Substances which are prohibited by law, such as carcinogenic dyestuffs.
  • Substances which are regulated by law, such as formaldehyde, softeners, heavy metals or pentachlorophenol.
  • Substances which according to current knowledge are harmful to health, but which are not yet regulated or prohibited by law, such as pesticides, allergy-inducing dyestuffs or tin-organic compounds.
  • Parameters such as colourfastness and a skin-friendly pH-value, which are precautionary measures to safeguard consumers' health.

Latex in a bowl Our mattress components are free of any harmful substances. We use natural latex foam and high-grade flexible independent coils, covered in organic stretch cotton quilted to 100% Plein Air Wool which is beneficial both for your health and for the environment.

They are all ecologically certified by Oeko-Tex, a European environmental board which tests for chemical content. We only use 100% natural latex, derived from rubber trees and free of petrochemicals. All the wood we use comes from sustainable forests in Canada and Eastern Europe.
