We are serious about sleep
European Sleep Design’s mattress design has been refined based on knowledge gained from 25 years of analyzing scientific data. The result: a natural mattress that provides more healthful and sound sleep, is more durable, and yet costs less than other premium mattresses.

What a mattress should be
We looked at traditional U.S. mattresses and noticed several things they should be but weren't:

• Suited to the individual instead of one-size-fits-all.
• Responsive, providing excellent support no matter how soft or firm the mattress.
• Comfortable for the life of the mattress.
• Nearly motionless, not full of bounce.
• Durable, without component breakdown or sag formation.
• Affordable, offering premium features at reasonable prices.

Our Unique Design

We decided the traditional mattress design just wasn't good enough. Our sleep systems consist of two units - the mattress itself and an adjusting slat suspension that's based on the European sleep design and style but incorporating modifications that result in even better performance.

No exposure to harmful substances

European Sleep Design's mattresses are chemical-free and safe for consumers.

Our mattress components are free of all artificial fabrics and materials. We use natural latex foam and carbon steel independent coils, covered in organic stretch cotton quilted to 100% Plein Air Wool which is beneficial both for your health and for the environment. They are all ecologically certified by OekoTex, a European environmental board which tests for chemical content. We only use 100% natural latex, derived from rubber trees and free of petrochemicals. All the wood we use comes from sustainable forests in Canada and Eastern Europe.

Oeko-Tex substance testing includes:

• substances which are prohibited by law, such as carcinogenic dyestuffs
  
  
• substances which are regulated by law, such as formaldehyde, softeners, heavy metals or pentachlorophenol
  
  
• substances which according to current knowledge are harmful to health, but which are not yet regulated or prohibited by law, such as pesticides, allergy-inducing dyestuffs or tin-organic compounds
  
  
• parameters such as colourfastness and a skin-friendly pH-value, which are precautionary measures to safeguard consumers heath
